iSYS, LLC, a WidePoint Corporation subsidiary and a provider of telecom management services, has won a $211K contract from the National Science Foundation (NSF). Under the contract, iSYS will provide a comprehensive and customized telecom expense management services solution to the NSF.
The contract has a base period of one year with two one-year option periods.
NFS is an independent governmental agency promoting science and engineering through research programs and education projects. Just like other governmental agencies, NFS has a strategy to support the usage of enterprise-wide mobile device. This calls for a wireless service contract inventory management and optimization solution.
iSYS’ customized telecom expense management solution, delivered through the General Services Administration's (GSA (News - Alert)) Federal Strategic Sourcing Initiative (FSSI) TEMS Contract, will provide NFS with just that. Using iSYS’ telecom expense management solution, which encompasses the full lifecycle management of the agency’s wireless telecommunications assets, NSF will be able to maximize its mobile resources and budget.
iSYS telecom expense management solutions combine telecom industry expertise, managed services and the company's award-winning, customizable Web-based portal –Intelligent Telecommunication Management System (ITMS).
“It is an exciting time to work with the federal government as a mobile expense management provider," said Kang. "The federal CIO Council, GSA and the Digital Services Innovation Center are championing innovative solutions to build a more efficient and effective government through the Digital Government Strategy. Our TEMS solution addresses a key goal of the Digital Government Strategy: Enterprise-wide mobile device and wireless service contract inventory management and optimization,” president of iSYS Jin Kang, commented in a statement.
Numerous federal government agencies using iSYS TEMS solutions have reported
30 percent - 65 percent net savings on mobile budgets. These agencies include the Department of Veteran Affairs VA Capitol Health Care Network (VISN5), Transportation Security Administration, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the Department of Defense's Washington Headquarter Services and others.
“We are pleased that our TEMS solution is the choice of yet another federal agency, the National Science Foundation. With all federal agencies needing to develop, manage and optimize their mobile device and contract service inventories, we are confident that our TEMS solution will continue to be the preferred choice of agencies seeking to substantially reduce their mobile costs,” said WidePoint CEO and Chairman Steve Komar.
Recently, iSYS signed an $11.6 million deal with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to provide mobile telecom expense management services to the organization.
