The growing mobility of the enterprise world is undeniable. Every day, those of us who watch small, medium, and large businesses move into the cloud, and subsequently the mobile sector, witness how mobility is becoming less of a suggestion and more of a requirement for competitive organizations. As a provider of telecom expense management services, Emptoris recognizes the importance of mobile access, and has recently issued a new functionality for its mobile Services Procurement solution.
Giving hiring managers and HR supervisors real-time access to advanced mobile functionality, the Emptoris Services Procurement 9.3 enables users to gain visibility into the market for “securing and managing contingent labor,” according to the company. The Emptoris Services Procurement Mobile Web Access is accessible from all major mobile device platforms including iPhone, Android (News - Alert), and Blackberry.
Seth Wolins, general manager of services procurement at Emptoris, stated, “In today’s challenging and highly competitive business environment, it is critical for organizations to be laser focused on their business objectives – rather than mired in procuring and managing outsourced labor or services. With the greater agility, flexibility and productivity that Emptoris Services Procurement Mobile Web Access offers, organizations can focus on business priorities and gain a significant competitive advantage.”
The Services Procurement Mobile Web Access gives managers the ability to generate and manage staff requests while accelerating hiring and payment processes. The mobile functionality gives them the ability to do transactions anywhere on a mobile device such as process work orders, timesheets, invoices, expenses, and receipts.
The 9.3 version of the Services Procurement software also includes new mobile reporting that enables execs to monitor hiring and procurement activities through an application on Apple’s (News
- Alert) iPad. That feature is powered by Business Objects, and allows the viewing and analyzing of data while managing compliance.
